Drew has held various technology and operations senior leadership roles at both Fortune 500 companies and growing startups. Prior to joining AKF Partners, Drew served as CTO & COO of Vinyl Interactive, an online marketing company specializing in lead generation. There he spent 9 years working with the owners to scale the company from startup phase into a robust, highly profitable business. Drew developed and led the engineering organization and established a large offshore satellite office. He also directed the build out of Vinyl’s Data Science group, an early innovator in lead scoring and predictive analytics within the lead generation industry. In 2011, Drew partnered with the Vinyl founder to launch a subsidiary business, VI Commerce, designed to bring development, analytics, and marketing solutions to eCommerce clients by utilizing a hybrid onshore-offshore resource model.
Prior to Vinyl, Drew was a leader in rolling out the Six Sigma quality initiative at Gillette, and he played a key role in the IT integration phase of the merger with Proctor & Gamble. Drew began his career at GE Capital in the Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP) where he completed several assignments across both domestic and international GE Capital business units. He went on to achieve Six Sigma Black Belt certification and progressed into an operations management role within the GE Insurance business.
Drew earned a BS in Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
