Phillip joined AKF Partners after 15 years in Silicon Valley and over 11 years consulting for clients of all sizes primarily in the US.  For the last five years,  Phillip was an executive at Future Point of View (FPOV) where he provided strategic technology advisory services to clients across multiple industries such as insurance, manufacturing, municipalities, and public eduction by working directly with executives, CIOs, and boards of directors.  With an MBA from Wharton and insights gained working in IT and as an external consultant, Phillip is able to quickly navigate complex, matrixed organizations in order to guide them to a better mix of people, process and technology. 

Phillip has focused the last several years teaching and guiding clients how to understand their current state of digital maturity, modify their internal and external capabilities to leverage newer platforms with the right mix of humans and machines, and how to safely rip and replace large enterprise platforms.  As an executive at FPOV, Phillip was a public speaker at technical and non-technical conferences.  Phillip covered a wide variety of newer concepts such as Smart Cities, Blockchain, and Data Science as established topics such as Data Intelligence and Technology Governance. 

Prior to Future Point of View, worked at Pariveda Solutions where he focused on developing enterprise architects through key stages of career development:  new college graduates, team leader, project manager, and solution architect.  In addition to selling and delivering custom and packaged solutions, he was sought after by Microsoft to help organizations of all sizes with strategic use of technologies like SharePoint and Yammer.

Prior to that, Phillip was an IT leader for 9 years at eBay Inc. when the company grew from just under 5,000 employees to over 40,000 employees and contractors globally. At eBay, he was a technology leader in platforms such as IT Service Management (ITSM), enterprise collaboration, content management and delivery, cloud, mobile, enterprise application integration, business intelligence, case management, and eDiscovery. Phillip introduced Agile software development for the Corporate IT group, helped implement the IT Program Management Office program, and supported the operational processes and platforms for IT globally.

Phillip started his career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where he quickly became one of the firm’s experts in data warehousing and the firm’s delivery methodology.  He left Andersen Consulting to attend Wharton full time and he graduated right after the .com bubble burst.  After Wharton, Phillip worked as a founder at a startup where he authored and was awarded a US patent.
