Pete is a seasoned strategist with 25 years + of experience in leadership and operations.

Pete spent over 18 years at eBay, scaling and replicating global operations and leading global security operations teams as large as 250, managing the technical team and operational budgets exceeding $30 million. 

Pete created technology roadmaps to simplify systems, extended capital expenditure depreciation cycle from three years to five years saving hundreds of thousands of dollars and virtualized servers and standardized equipment used globally to simplify maintenance contracts, hold operations budgets flat and reducing alarm volume globally. The reduction in alarms resulted in the consolidation of 15 operations centers to 3 regional centers leading to enhanced global business continuity and emergency response synchronization.

Pete navigated numerous challenges, including M&A integration and the separation of security systems for Skype, PayPal, and eBay Enterprise in short time periods and with limited resources while greatly expanding the scalability and availability of services in the process.

Pete directed the successful annual reviews for the Payment Card Industry (PCI), Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404), and Service Organization Standard (SAS 70) for 15+ years. He was also a member of the corporate steering committee to revamp the PIAM (Personal Identity Access Management) physical and logical authentication process for 30K+ employees and contractors.

Pete has a technical MBA in IT Administration and has helped AKF clients with Agile transformations, technical due diligence, and interim roles.
